If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you are prohibited from using our Service.

2. Account Registration

To use certain features of SpecKit, you must create an account. Our authentication is securely managed by Clerk.

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • You agree to provide accurate and complete account information.
  • We reserve the right to suspend your account for breaches of security or terms of service.

3. Ownership & AI Output Copyright

SpecKit helps you create technical blueprints, PRDs, database schemas, and architecture diagrams.

  • Full Ownership: You retain 100% ownership of the documents, architecture, and development plans generated through your workspace. You are free to use these outputs for commercial or personal purposes royalty-free.
  • Service License: You grant SpecKit a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free worldwide license solely to host, process, and display your content to provide the Service to you.

4. Payments, Renewals, Cancellation, & Refunds

Payments on our platform are processed securely using our trusted payment providers (Polar & Stripe).

  • Subscriptions & Cancellation: Paid accounts (Starter & Pro) are billed on a monthly recurring basis. You can cancel your subscription at any time via your account settings or through the Customer Portal link in your payment receipt email.
  • Cancellation Effect & Monthly Quota: Upon cancellation or subscription expiration, your account will automatically revert to the Free Plan. All remaining monthly quotas (blueprints and AI chats) from your paid plan will immediately expire/reset and cannot be rolled over, transferred, or restored to a free account.
  • Refund Policy: We offer a full 100% refund if requested within a maximum of 7 days from the purchase date, provided that no project blueprint quota or AI chat has been consumed/used under the active billing cycle. If any quota has been used or the 7-day limit has passed, refunds cannot be issued due to generative AI API processing costs.

5. AI Usage Limitations & Disclaimer

Our Service utilizes advanced language modeling technology (Google Gemini & Vertex AI) to generate technical documents.

  • AI Inaccuracies:You acknowledge that AI outputs can occasionally contain technical errors or "hallucinations". You are advised to review all blueprints before beginning actual software development.
