Welcome to SpecKit. We deeply value your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our web application (hereafter referred to as the "Service").

By accessing or using our Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

We collect information necessary to provide and improve our Service effectively:

• Account & Authentication Data: We use Clerk to manage registration and login. Collected information includes your name, email address, profile picture, and login credentials. We also record the exact date and time (timestamp) of registration for security auditing and internal administration.
• Project & Specification Data (Including Prompts): To generate product blueprints, we collect project ideas, specifications, feature modules, technology recommendations, input prompts, and AI chat history you input.
• Usage, Telemetry & Quota Data: We monitor the number of blueprints and AI chats you use to enforce the limits of your subscription plan (including Free, Starter, and Pro plans). We also track your last active timestamp and current webpage location (URL pathname) for session management and internal system monitoring.
• Administrative Monitoring: Please note that our administration and support team can view user-submitted project prompts, modules, chat histories, and generated documents to debug performance, prevent abuse, and provide support.

SpecKit is an AI-powered platform that uses Google Gemini and Vertex AI to generate product blueprints.

• Context Security: Project descriptions and prompts you submit are processed securely via the Google Vertex AI API.
• Model Training Policy: Your prompts and project documents are NOT used to train baseline large language models (LLMs) owned by third parties or Google. Your data remains exclusively yours.

We use Stripe to process subscription payments and additional token purchases.

All credit card details are processed directly by Stripe in compliance with PCI-DSS industry security standards. SpecKit never stores or processes your credit card information on our servers.

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to others.

We only share information with trusted service providers (sub-processors) to operate our platform:

• Clerk (User Authentication)
• Stripe (Payment Processing)
• Google Vertex AI / Gemini (Blueprint Generation Engine)
• MongoDB Atlas (Encrypted Database Storage)

You have complete control over your data in SpecKit:

• Right to Access & Export: You can download all your generated blueprints at any time as a Markdown ZIP.
• Right to Erasure (Right to be Forgotten): You can delete your projects from the dashboard. If you wish to permanently delete your account and all associated account data from Clerk and our database, please contact our support team.
